Accessibility
Music is for everyone. We aim for WCAG 2.1 AA on this site and design TickWave to be usable without sight, without sound and without precise gestures.
On this site
- Semantic landmarks and a skip-to-content link first in the document.
- Visible focus rings on every interactive element.
- Full keyboard operation; Escape closes overlays.
- Text contrast meeting AA, including orange text at 5.0:1 on cream.
- Motion respects the reduced-motion setting: smooth scrolling, reveals and pointer effects switch off.
In TickWave
- Large, high-contrast readouts legible from a music stand.
- Haptic feedback so tempo can be felt as well as heard.
- Silent mode for practice where sound is not welcome.
- Touch targets sized for use mid-performance.
Reporting a barrier
